As part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, member states are encouraged to submit Voluntary National Reviews of their process of implementing SDGs. The 2016 report synthesises the reviews submitted by 22 countries. The goal is to facilitate the review by the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainale Development and to share the knowledge acquired in implementing the 2030 Agenda.

This report provides an overview of the discussions held at a THINK_SDGs regional meeting of global health policy think tanks, aimed to galvanise discussion around the implementation of health-related SDG indicators at the regional and national levels in Latin America. The meeting highlighted in particular the added value of adopting a governance-for-health lens as an entry point to contribute to SDG implementation, as well as the importance of working with communities and ensuring that citizens are informed of, and take part in, SDG processes.

The intention of the project is to build an international network of Global Health Policy Think Tanks and Academic Institutionsto promote global knowledge sharing, capacity-building, and innovation.
This framework provides countries with a practical means of enhancing a coherent approach to Health in All Policies (HiAP), particularly at a national level. HiAP increases accountability on health policymakers, enhances consideration for the consequences of public policies on healthcare systems and promotes sustainable development.
