This news article provides an overview of the outcomes of the first ever Meeting of Global Health Policy Think Tanks and Academic Institutions, held in Geneva in November 2017. The meeting highlighted the transformational approach of the SDG agenda, leading to major shifts in global health governance. In particular, a new relationship between the “Global North” and the “Global South”, the focus on implementation, and the intersectorality of Goals call for all actors to play a role, including think tanks and academic institutions.
